Steve and Carl get pulled over after a gig. Even before the police car's flashing lights had come on we pulled over to the side of the road expecting the worst. In their usual fashion the officer asked me to count to ten as part of a random breath test. By about 4, 5... the officer was convinced that I had been drinking waters all night. It was at that point I mentioned that one of the police car's front lights wasn't working. Steve quickly chimed in with, "us fulla's cruise around late at night looking for vehicle's like you!". The officer was quite amused and let us go on our way. Sam get's 'Driver of the Month' for not remembering how he got home and mysteriousy finding the Holden parked outside his house after a huge night on the drink. The Holden has it's first photo shoot. The clouds managed to part for a few seconds during this photo in Wellington.
Sam and Carl visit the Holden car parts depot and order the wrong type of fittings to put the chrome back on the vehicle. Holden Fact No.10: Getting petrol in a Holden is the hard part! Carl manages to break the driver's door handle. Not only this but when Steve and Carl went to their storage depot to move Carl's bed up to his new flat on the roof of the Holden the boys tie the doors closed so that they have to climb in the windows. Took us back to 'The Dukes of Hazard'. Dave (friendly Holden Repair man) turns up with the last replacement door handle a couple of days later. Steve and Sam go to 'The Warehouse' to purchase a replacement CD player that fell off the roof of the Holden for a friend. Whilst inside they decide to treat the vehicle to a new CD player for their up and coming tour. The Holden gets it first polish. The only downer is that Steve chose a miserable Wellington weather day to do the job! Steve still hasn't paid his $40 parking fine, although he manages to register the Holden for corporate membership with the AA (Automobile Association). The Holden goes to the garage to get it's 'veering to the left' problem fixed. A particularly bad experience when hooning down the Rimutuka's at 60mph! Uncle Monkey have been wooing fans by taking them for rides in the Holden during breaks.
